Mono-Mount for the MKIII Series

As an alternative to the tripod for RainWise’s MKIII-series weather stations, the Mono-Mount offers flexibility in mounting your MKIII on a pitched or flat roof. Additionally, the Mono-Mount is compatible with the WindLog, enabling a lower cost option for your wind sensor’s set-up.

 

This simple, slender mount presents a minimal profile, and yet is durable and stable. The Mono-Mount is made of powder-coated steel, PVC, and aluminum. And, because the base is adjustable, the Mono-Mount can be fastened at any angle to accommodate a pitched roof surface, a gable end, or a flat roof surface.

Galvanized Steel Tripod

Sturdy and durable, tripods by RainWise are fabricated from 16-gauge galvanized steel tubing, 1.25 inches in diameter. Swivel feet on the tripods bolt onto any surface, including pitched roofs. All three models allow installation of masts with diameters up to 1.75 inches, and each includes a lower support bracket to hold the mast in place.

 

Order the 3-foot tripod here, and it will arrive with your wireless weather station. If a 5-foot or a 10-foot tall model serves your project’s purpose better, either size is available by Special Order Request. Both 3- and 5-foot tripods can fold up for easy storage and assembly. The 3-foot tripod can optionally be mounted on a roof, and comes with a lag screw and sealer kit ready for mounting on your roof surface.

 

All RainWise tripods are guaranteed for 5 years. Choose the size and type that best meets your needs: a 3-foot regular tripod with roof mounting kit, or a taller model by Special Order Request.

Tripod and Mast Assembly

A sturdy construction of 18-gauge, 1008-10 steel tubing that’s been Flo-Coated and gold-irridited for superior protection against corrosive environments, the Tripod and Mast Assembly provides a reliable mount for your WeatherHawk wireless weather station for most applications. The tripod arrives with one post to bring the height of the weather station’s sensors to 58 inches/150.8 cm. A captive “stop-nut” design ensures that lock nuts on the mast collar will tighten down without spinning. The mast seats in a supporting cup, giving added stability to your WeatherHawk station.

Mast Extension for Tripod and Mast Assembly

Depending on the location where your WeatherHawk wireless weather station is set up, raising the height of the station base unit may be needed to help the station’s weather sensors operate accurately. The Mast Extension raises your Tripod-Mast Assembly height another 35 inches/89 cm, to a maximum height of 89 inches/231.4 cm for the weather sensors.

 

The Mast Extension is constructed from 18-gauge, 1008-10 steel tubing which has been galvanized by the Flo-coat process for outstanding protection from corrosion. Each Mast Extension measures 35 inches/89 cm long and 1.25 inches/3.25 cm in outer diameter, with one end crimped to slip into the end of another post of the same diameter.

Mast Extension for Low Profile Roof Mast Assembly

As an add-on to the Low Profile Roof Mast Assembly, the Mast Extension raises the mast assembly by 3 feet. Each Mast Extension tube is constructed of unpainted galvanized steel, and is designed strictly for use with the Low Profile Roof Mast. With one Mast Extension, your WeatherHawk wireless weather station sensor assembly is raised to 6 feet above the surface of your peaked or flat roof. If two Mast Extensions are used with the Low Profile Roof Mast, a Guy-Wire Kit, available by Special Order Request, must be installed to stabilize your WeatherHawk weather station.

5-Watt Solar Panel Kit

External Battery Kit

A companion power source to the 5-Watt Solar Panel, the External Battery Kit comprises a 12 VDC 7 Ahr lead-acid gelcel battery pack enclosed in a weatherproof case with all the connecting cables it needs for operation.

 

Originally, the External Battery was designed for WeatherHawk weather stations used in Alaska. In regions where short solar days and below freezing temperatures define the winter weather, or where the weather station will be located north of 40° Latitude, the External Battery Kit is a necessity for uninterrupted operation of your WeatherHawk wireless weather station.

Weather Oracle Long Range Display
