The WindLog®

Wind Data Logger by RainWise

Ideal as a research tool for wind data collection, the WindLog® by RainWise is particularly designed for the needs of those who would like to install a wind turbine. The WindLog offers a compact and low cost logging anemometer to help its users decide the best location for their turbines.

With a Mini-Aervane wind sensor turning on low friction race bearings, the WindLog’s threshold begins at only about one mile per hour, giving a wind direction resolution of 16 points. A support mast is included with the WindLog, as well as a 15-foot USB cable. And WindSoft, a free Windows®-based software with an SQLite database, arrives with each WindLog to keep track of your wind data. WindSoft integrates downloaded data, updating the database every minute.

Use WindLog both online and offline: it combines both real-time and logged data. Generate stats, graphs and reports in Windsoft, then export CSV files to other compatible applications, and your wind speed research needs are satisfied.

Read the feature list below, and choose WindLog to capture your wind research data. If you would like to measure wind speed and direction at the height of the average working wind turbine, pick the “Turnkey” option, and your WindLog will arrive with a 40-foot mast along with all its hardware, ready to begin your wind measurement study.

OPTION

Wind Data Logger with 40-foot Mast

If you are conducting a study to find optimal wind speed for placing a wind turbine, the WindLog Wind Data Logger with a 40-foot mast will collect your needed wind data at the proper working height for most wind turbines. Designed to pair with RainWise’s WindLog, this 40-foot telescoping mast will place your anemometer 41 feet above ground level where wind monitoring is optimized for your wind data research, while allowing access to the data logger at ground level.

The 40-foot Mast is weather-resistant and durable, made of 16-gauge galvanized steel. The mast assembly arrives in addition to your WindLog in this option, and includes a guy-wire kit needed for safe installation of the WindLog with the 40-foot mast.

Purchase the WindLog Wind Data Logger with 40-foot Mast to achieve best results for your wind data research.

NOTE: When you select the option, your order will be sent to the manufacturer for a current price quote for the 40-foot mast; soon afterward, your price quote will be returned for you to complete a purchase order, if you wish.
